The first few weeks into 148 have been considerably simple. There isn't a massive jump course material wise and my professor Diane Horton seems to be taking the classes at an adequate pace.
Classes.
Though we started the topic in CSC108, we didn't quite grasp the complete complexities it involves. Don't get me wrong, it's not difficult, merely has a lot of little details that you need to keep in mind. I was initially very confused by the use of '__repr__' method. It took several lectures for me to understand it's working. Even the exact understanding of the use of 'self' took a while but eventually doing multiple labs and practicing on my own helped.
Assignement 1 has been posted and has greatly helped me and my partners Riya (http://csc148riya.blogspot.ca/) and Cindy (http://csc148x.blogspot.ca/).
We initially found the assignment really annoying as it could have been easily done in one or two functions ! Instead we were asked to make 5 different classes. But now that we're almost done, I have to say I'm happy with the result.
Im definitely enjoying this course and looking forward to the assignment grades (haven't even submitted it ha! )
